++WHITE SHELL WAMPUM (See photo on color sheet.)
Traditional fine tubular bead used by the Iroquois and other Eastern Woodlands peoples for a variety of ceremonial and decorative  functions. Purple can be obtained by dying (try leather dye). Unlike some on the market which are simply mother-of-pearl tubular beads these clam shells have been made to correspond in size to the most common surviving old wampum in use at Ohsweken.

++COWRIE SHELLS (See photo on colour sheet.)  Drilled, washed, clean.  Since the 19th Century these have been the popular replacement on Plains Indian clothing for the incredibly costly traditional  ELK TEETH. Used for decorating dress yokes, earrings, necklaces, trimming, etc.
NOTE these are Tiger Cowrie (Cyprea Tigris), some dealers (one hopes only out of an ignorance we once shared) are referring to this shell as Money cowrie (Cyprea Moneta Moneta), a shell which has been embargoed by many originating countries due to over harvesting. (See photo on colour sheet.)
The Assorted packages have a mixture of the sizes shown in the colour photo; the Select are closer to the larger two in photo.

 FURS
RABBIT  SKINS  When you buy rabbit skins be aware that there are many grades in the fur industry. Not every dealer explains this and you can be disappointed in a purchase made for price only. On an arbitrary scale of 1 to 5 for size, fur quality, price we would judge these offerings as at least "3"'s, and a very good value. This is highly subjective, but may help you.

Naturals Various colours (fawn, light and dark gray," coyote colour" etc. Give 2nd, 3rd choices in case your preference is unavailable,
Average about 11" W 14" L.                                          22-72000 (1)  $ 5.95
White, a bleached pure white pelt. Sized as above.           22-72001 (1) $ 3.50

++BRUSH WOLF SCALPS Use in centre of "Medicine Wheels" bag fronts, headdresses, etc. Some may require minor sewing. Bent noses, ears are straightened by soaking until pliable, then forming into shape
                                                                                       22-72004 (1) $ 5.95

++BRUSH WOLF For headdresses, clothing, wall decoration, parka trim. Prices on fashion furs vary with changing world demand. NOTE: trappers rarely skin out full length of legs as there is no useful fur there.
                                                                                       22-72005 (1) $ 85.00 & Up

++PORCUPINE QUILLS Packed in 14 gram bags (a LOT of quills). Assorted sizes.
