#2 RAWHIDE SCRAP: Leftovers from producing our Elk Rawhide Medicine Wheel Bases (page 4). Size of scrap varies, generally 8-12 holes. Cut long, narrow, pieces of rawhide to use as base for the quill wrapped strips found attached to Plains Indian Eagle feathers. Also, areas between junction of 4 holes and also on border of some pieces offer areas from which to cut the small charms (buffalo heads, birds, turtles, lizards, snakes) found attached to some Plains Indians artifacts. Not a lot of useable material on each but at this low price you certainly won't complain. 1 piece $0.10 MINIMUM 5 PIECES

#3 NECKLACE LAY-OUT TRAYS: 21"x8", Loop shaped trough in which you place beads to test the look of your design before stringing. Flocked surface slows tendency of beads to roll about. Sides of trough are marked and numbered to assist in the design process. see sketch $6.95
#4 4" BONE HAIR
PIPE CULLS: From time-to-time we accumulate culls in this long
and difficult-to-make bead. These have been separated into 2 main types:
Packs of thin (and some are very thin) beads, and "bandoliers" and where
a 'primitive' look to an item is to be preferred to the effect given when
using the uniform beads we are accustomed to seeing. Some carvers at Six
Nations use them as low-cost stems for small stone pipes. There may also
be other types of culls included ("lopsided" for example, and very occasionally
some damaged, usually a small chip off an end).

#6 COBALT
BLUE CLASS BEADS.- Stock of this irreplaceable item is now too
diminished to include in regular catalogue. This colour* is an old time
favourite found on many 19th Century Plains Indian pieces. These are oldstock
from a now defunct Italian factory. They have a semi-transparent "milky"
quality to them that is unlike modern beads. Each bag has 2 shades of this
color. A nuisance for the casual hobby-crafter, but the more seasoned art-i-crafter
will welcome the opportunity to work with an additional old shade.
They are not hard to recognize and separate Italian beads are always more
costly than similar molded, pressed Czech beads which are the common beads
of today's Indian trade. But, the Italian beads have muted tones and the
irregular "old fashioned" shape favored by replicators. *(a dark turquoise
color)

interior, slightly smaller than a CROW bead. Another 'old style bead
for that 'old-time' look.

#10 BLACK HORN"
BEAR CLAWS": See page 2 for current offer. This is another
style, more rounded in cross section, perhaps indicated by a comparison
of our sketches. Until these are gone you have the option then of
a choice between the 2 styles. Unless mentioned in your order we
will assume you are ordering the regular catalogued goods. If these
are wanted be sure to indicate this page and item #. Prices are the SAME
as given in catalogue for the 'flat' type.
#14 4" BLACK BUFFALO HORN
HAIR PIPES: A large number from our first shipment of this size has
recently been uncrated. They were too securely packed resulting in
their now being badly mildewed. This can be removed by tumbling in
a bag in a clothes dryer of 8-10 minutes maximum. this will give them some
new polishing but leave gray pock-marking on them, fine if you are making
'antique' breastplates, pendants. These are not for everyone, but
the creative, inventive craftsperson will find real value here. Regular
retail would be $55.00/100.

that way too.

#26 CONCHES: We have been puzzled by the lack of interest in this line. Perhaps our very low price alarmed customers. Dealing with the factory gave us good prices which we Passed on. Prices which were noticeably lower than most outlets. The quality is the equal of any, and the large is superior to any we have seen, its high polish makes it look like silver in our eyes.
